Sensor Coating Systems using Kickstart for next generation of engineers
LondonEast-UK tenant Sensor Coating Systems – a company active in aerospace, power generation and automotive industries – supports young unemployed people in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Most recently this has been hiring two positions from the local Kickstart Programme, which has been aiding young people secure jobs after the effects of COVID-19.

The Kickstart Scheme creates new 6-month job placements for young people aged 16 - 24 who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. Funding is available for: 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, associated employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. There is also £1,500 per job placement available for setup costs, support and training.
