The borough of Barking & Dagenham is said to be on the up, with plans in full swing to grow and redevelop the area.

Recent local elections saw Labour leader, Darren Rodwell and the Labour party win by a landslide for the borough of Barking & Dagenham, securing all 51/51 seats for the borough.

The upcoming film industry is ready to take off in Dagenham and is set to be the biggest in London. Pacifica Ventures have secured the 20 acres of land opposite Londoneast-uk and the scale of development for both film studio’s and community services is massive. Bringing thousands of jobs and visitors to the site daily, the area of Dagenham is predicted to be thriving within the next few years and the film industry here is set to be bigger and more historic than that of the famous Dagenham Ford’s.

With plans flowing throughout the borough, Londoneast-uk has also contributed to the growth and development of the area. The redevelopment from Sanofi Pharmaceuticals and more memorable, May & Baker site at Dagenham East, has been a continuous project over the past 4 years and steadily grows with the community and borough in mind.

The mastermind behind Londoneast-uk and Director of the SOG Group, John Lewis, comments:

“London is moving east and Barking and Dagenham is now really well placed to maximise the exiting opportunities that lay here over the next 10 to 15 years.

“I’m naturally pleased that Londoneast-uk has established itself so quickly and I’m also delighted that the new film studio is coming too. I said that Dagenham could ultimately become more famous for film than it is for car production and I really believe that.”
